i3 The Harvard College Innovation Challenge is brought to you by the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard and Harvard Ventures. We are Harvard’s premier student startup competition. And this is where Harvard student startups get their start.

Now in its 14th year, i3 has provided over $700,000 in grants, incubator space, and professional services to students pursuing startups along with their undergraduate degree. Students compete for equity-free grants to help them realize their innovative visions. The i3  program cultivates, coaches, and showcases Harvard’s rapidly growing group of student entrepreneurs. While there are cash prizes at stake, i3 at its core is a challenge. Programming is intended to offer opportunities and checkpoints for feedback and places an emphasis on the processes of problem solving, evolving, and innovating.

Hundreds of students have participated and have come from 50 different concentrations and graduate disciplines, representing all 12 houses, and the 4 undergraduate class years.

Harvard Ventures, Harvard’s leading student-run entrepreneurship and venture capital organization, collaborates on bringing this event to life. The primary purpose being to serve undergraduate student founders, offer practical feedback, and inspire a new generation of change makers. The i3 Innovation Challenge is undergraduate focused and founder friendly.
